Adanna Unigwe is a Dutch-Nigerian actress known for emotionally precise performances and her ability to portray complex, layered women.

Born in Nigeria and raised in the Netherlands, she has appeared in television series including Kappen NouGrenslanders, and Meisje van Plezier. She trained at the Film Actors Academy Amsterdam and graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Amsterdam, with further studies in London and New York — including Method acting with David Gideon and improv at UCB — blending psychological depth with spontaneity.


In 2025, Adanna starred in Forget All You Know (About Aliens), selected for the Dutch Academy Awards and winner of the VEVAM Prize, with her performance recognized by the Kring van Nederlandse Filmjournalisten. In 2026, she had a leading role in the critically acclaimed movie Please Try Again Later, portraying a paramedic navigating mental health challenges.

On stage, she appeared as Andromache in Atropa and performed the solo play Ifigeneia, directed by Maaike Neuville. She is currently touring the Netherlands with Sisterhood, directed by Romana Vrede.
