All talent management agencies promise the same great things: career guidance, personal attention and wonderful contacts. Sounds great. Then why are so many creative people unhappy with their agencies? Some top talents may be enthusiastic, but there is a gap in what management agencies promise and what they do.

Falcon Artists aims to be different. We take only a small roster of highly talented creatives, to be a better career coach for them. Instead of 40-50 people per agent, we aim for closer to 15, and that attention makes us better partners.

The CEO of Falcon Artists is Saskia Maas, CEO of Boom Chicago. For more than 30 years, she has led that Amsterdam institution, the place that launched the careers of many international superstars. Seth Meyers, Oscar winner Jordan Peele, Ike Barinholtz, Kay Cannon, Amber Ruffin and the founders and creators of Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly) all began at Boom Chicago. Starting Falcon was a way for her to take her passion, natural skills and years of relationships to the next level.

Saskia is applying some of Boom Chicago’s best practices to this new business. Ideas like ‘yes and’ (rather than ‘yes but’), and ‘love every idea for a minute’ are in the DNA of Falcon Management. Although her focus is the Netherlands, Saskia’s global network is another way that she stands out.

The team of Falcon Artists includes the expected agents, legal and financial people, but we are also the only management with a mental health coach, because not all problems come from Hilversum.
