


David Elsendoorn starred in and has been featured in many International and Dutch productions. In the Netherlands, he had memorable roles in Ik weet wie je bent (I Know Who you Are), Turbulent Skies and Singel 39.
Internationally, he starred in two celebrated Hallmark Movies, and was part of the Emmy-winning ensemble in the global smash Ted Lasso on AppleTV+.
In Ted Lasso seasons two and three, David played Jan Maas, AFC Richmond’s brutally honest Dutch football player.
After that he was the lead in two Hallmark features: My Norwegian Holiday as ex-skier Henrik Strøm and The Perfect Setting as Alexander Remi, the son of a jeweller in the Antwerp diamond district.
David started taking theater classes at de Noorderlingen at age 14. At this theater ensemble in Groningen, he was introduced to a mix of Shakespeare plays, Greek tragedies, improvisation, slapstick, viewpoint, stage fighting, playing with the four elements and location theater. For an entire year, he learned to perform and write, after which he moved to Amsterdam to continue his acting training.
He joined a pre-theater school program called ‘Act2Act’, where he honed his craft in order to get accepted in theaterschool. In 2014 he started his study at theAmsterdam Toneelschool en Kleinkunst Academie, working with many great teachers. During his internship he toured the Netherlands and performed the political playNeelie fifty times. Before graduating in 2018 he got his first lead in the romantic comedy Gelukzoekers where he portrayed the role of cheese-farmer Harko who falls in love with Faiza, a Syrian refugee.
David studied the Chubbuck technique with Frantz Turner and Ivana Chubbuck. Besides that he has honed his US and UK dialects.
