


Zouhair Mtazi is a Moroccan-Dutch actor known for his roles in productions such as the TV show Mocro Maffia, Triq Salama, Sihame, and the international De Vuurlinie, in which he played a standout antagonist. The film was directed by Roel Reiné, renowned for his work in Hollywood.
As a highlight of his career, Zouhair won the Best Actor International Award in 2023 for his role in De Kleine Astronaut at the Filmapalooza in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Zouhair appeared in Het Oog van de Storm (directed by Agaath Witteman), alongside Hans Croiset, Anne Wil Blankers, and Johanna ter Steege. He also performed in Phobiarama by Dries Verhoeven. In addition, Zouhair created and performed his own solo theatre production, SUPERMAN, which was staged at the De Parade in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Recently, he secured his first international role in the major American production People of the Book, alongside acclaimed actors Jason Isaacs and Gael García Bernal.
His talent and versatility as an actor have not gone unnoticed. In addition to several nominations, he has won the Best Actor award twice at the 48 Hour Film Project Rotterdam for his performances in Hitchcock-Hitchcock and De Kleine Astronaut. With Lekkage, he also won the international Best Acting Ensemble award together with Rienus Krul and Dennis Coenen.
